Today we were learning about chinese New Zealanders.
We learned that the Pākehā wanted a white land and not a ‘ Yellow ‘ land. There was a lot of racism, at that time, Even a chinese man, Joe Kum Yung got shot because of it.
That was one of New Zealand’s dark history.
